READ, WATCH, DO - INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2025
International Women's Day is a time to honour the women who have broken barriers, defied expectations, and reshaped the world on their own terms.
To help you narrow down how to celebrate this year, we’ve picked out one thing you should watch, read, and do this month.
Each selection has been pulled from the work our partners at the DM Foundation do to celebrate and empower women and girls. That means they all come with an added dose of purpose.

READ: THE LEGACY OF MARY BEATRICE DAVIDSON
Meet Mary Beatrice Davidson - the African American inventor who defied to accept the status quo in more ways than one. Let Girls Health Period introduce you to her story of revolutionising the menstrual products of her time, and the barriers she broke through to get there.
Girls Health Period are making sure students in Ohio and beyond can feel confident, clean, and comfortable when they’re menstruating. Whether that’s by providing menstrual products in schools, or shaping conversations to break the stigma around periods.
WATCH: WOMEN IN MUSIC - A DR. MARTENS SERIES HOSTED BY GHADIR
Last year, Ghadir took us on a deep dive into the realities behind some hard-hitting stats about the music scene. Through conversations with artists Marla Kether, Manuka Honey, and Manami, they lifted the lid on the challenges being face by women defying industry norms.
This deep-dive was put together alongside Saffron Music. Through training, connections and experience, they’re helping women, non-binary, trans and GNC creatives to harness the technology that is shaping the modern music industry.
